Literary getaway with René FREGNI

René Frégni, one of the very first guests of the Literary Escapades in 2015, does us the honor of presenting his latest novel "Minuit dans la ville des songes" (ed. Gallimard, 2022) in Grimaud.
From his childhood in Marseilles until his installation in the hinterland of Provence, the writer retraces his itinerary there, that of an illiterate unsuited to the school system who one day discovers literature. A rebellious runaway and passionate about grandiose landscapes, which remain for him inseparable from literary shocks. From a wandering life to the “great motionless journey” of writing, René Frégni is a man who walks and contemplates, a book and a notebook in his hand.
